Miss You!

May we walk upon this earth again,
Once again beneath the same blue sky,
Then our lives again intertwine,
And may we remember, you and I.
****************
May Mark and all of our family members
who are watching over us
be forever in hearts
Rest in Peace

Remembering Mark 3/18/09

It's 2 years now that our "Beloved" brother was called home to heaven
May he rest in peace
and to the recent passing of Aunt Jane's brother Eddy & our Uncle Rocky may they all be at peace.
I think this says it best:

Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile,
Forget unkind words I have spoken: Remember
some good 1 have done, Forget that I ever
had heartache and remember I've had
loads of fun. Forget that I stumbled and
blundered And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won. ere the close of the day.
Then forget to grieve for my going.
I would not have yon sad lor a day. But in summer just
gather some flowers And remember the
place where I lay. And come in the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west.
Stand for a few moments besides me
And remember only my best

" If you love someone, let them go free. If they return to you, it was meant to be. If they don't, their love was never yours ." ~ Unknown

Dear love, friend of mine
how fast time has slipped by
how memories go through my mind
I miss the fun and joy

Dear love, friend of mine
rest in Peace and relax
You are Loved more than most
both on Earth and Heaven above

Dear love, friend of mine
as I watch over your resting place
I hope and pray
that you will be waiting for the rest of us, some day

Dear love, friend of mine
you will be my strength
when I am weak and weary
old and gray, I will remember

Dear love, until tomorrow
continue to bring the sun on a cloudy day
and rainbows after the rain

Dear love, friend of mine
as time passes on
I will return, love is forever.....

A Few Words from Aunt Anne

3/21/08- what a beautiful tribute to my gentle baby - mark- i will treasure all your comments, pictures, marks very last note- he was so looking forward to that little truck- the cost to fix his chevy was too expensive-

I feel your right- you administrators would not have the job- and john i think mark would have had a lot of fun ribbing you-
In florida we celebrated March 18 with dinner and mark's favorite homemade cake- moist devil food chocolate with chocolate cool whip icing and the beautiful video made with love by andrea- "in memory6 of Mark" lastly when mark's headstone was put in at St Denis the wrong color was ordered by Lori McHoul which is there now however the correct color stone -canadian red like his fathers which is ready but will not be exchanged until that new york weather improves.

How Time Fly's...

Today is the one year anniversary of Mark's passing. As we all know to well time stands still for none of us.

I am putting up one of my favorite pics (I know I've posted it before) because it reminds of a very nice two days we spent hanging out together and traversing NYC. We went from Brooklyn to Alphabet city to central park and the museum of natural history. Quite the journey for me but a pretty typical day for Mark. I know he wasn't necessarily feeling his best that day but he did not let that stop him from doing and going the places I wanted to go. That was pretty typical of him, I know he went out of his way to stay close with our family, my kids and myself because he knew his time with us would be shorter then that of others. I am very thankful that he did because he left all of us a lot of special memories and laughs that we can use to keep his spirit alive. Finally I think the blog is a great tribute to him and his spirit. It has made us laugh, share, think and probably a few have been tempted to bang on the keyboard but most of all it has shown us that something positive can come out of even the saddest of times. Mark did that right until the end. SWM has said many times, and I agree, how he wold have loved the blog I only wonder who he would have riled the most (KCM?)...
Hard to believe one year has past.

Mark's letter to me outlining his purchase of my pickup truck.

1992 Toyota pickup truck with no AC, no Power Steering, and 218,000 miles on it.
Last concert Mark and I attended together. Randy was also at this show.

Happy Birthday, Mark

In honor of Mark's birthday here's a quick comic he loved to send some of us... He really liked sending them to Kyle, I don't know why?

Mark's final Resting Place 7/12/07

In July we had a small ceremony for Mark to place him (his ashes) in his final resting place at St Dennis church in Hopewell Junction. He is in a very nice spot and he has plenty of family nearby that can come and visit. Of course after the ceremony we had a delicious lunch at an Italian restaurant. In a few weeks the marker that Andrea created will be replaced by permanent stone. Now Mark can truly rest in peace. Thank you, Mom.

Happy Birthday Mark 2005

These pics brought a smile to my face today. Mom had them from when she threw a surpise B-day party for Mark. It looks like he had a very good time. It looks like he got an ipod - a gift that we know he would surely enjoy because of his love of music. The cake is one of mom's bunt cakes with a cool whip and pudding frosting -DELICIOUS!! Enjoy the good times ....
