Kitchen Upgrades 101

In case anyone has been wondering where I've been well I'll tell you. HD & I have been very busy going from Sears, Lowe's, Home Depot, a granite place for kitchen counters and a tile place for the kitchen floor,a plumbing store for a sink and faucet(special orders) getting estimates, looking for counter tops and tiles for floors. Trying to pick out new appliances and oh yes someone to do the work.

It has been very exhausting and overwhelming.

But it is finally coming together.

WE found everything we want.
We started with the floor and the appliances.

we went with 18 x 18 tiles, they are bigger and look very nice.

The floor is done and the appliances are in.

We are waiting for the sink and faucet to come in then the new granite counters will be installed(can't wait)

Our New Fireplace!

Kim and I have gotten used to our new bathroom, but could never quite stomach our old, horrible fireplace. SO, we decided to spend every penny we could possibly scrounge up and get rid of it! Now we might be broke, but we sure love our new fireplace! I'll post the final picture once the granite mantle, touch up paint, and wooden border on the bottom.

Here's the old one the day we moved in...

Can you see it??? Yeah, that's right! We got the Logitech Harmony "One" Remote!!! It's on the right hand side of your screen, and what an excellent addition it is to any home entertainment system...

...and there it is in all it's glory! Fake logs, Natural gas, and a warmer wifey poo! I love my Kim Marie!!! I know, sappy I am indeed.
