Chicago Christmas 2012

For  Christmas Mass, we decided to go to an Old Church in Chicago, this one was built by Polish Imigrants around 1910.  The Mass was very traditional which brought back a lot of memories. The architecture was pretty amazing especially considering it was 100 years old.

They also had signs about proper dress attire, very traditional church.
The dome with net due to falling debris.
 Huge Organ
 Organ
 Entry looking at Alter
 Paintings on all walls

Brandon and I received the Host "old school" kneeling at the Alter and the Priest with the Alter Boy  with pan and placed the Communion on our tongue

Overall we may have a new Christmas tradition as many in the past were spent with Papa.  We also, went Ice skating and had hot Chocolate downtown.

Hope all had a Merry Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year!!

Very nice church, especially loved the visual of you getting on your knees with your tongue out...

Long live the Catholics!

Very cool post.. I thought about making a "huge organ" comment but anonymous pretty much took the cake!

The church is pretty amazing and starting new traditions is very nice too!

Kyle, Merry Christmas!
new traditions are good for the soul, we are creatures of habit and change is sometimes hard to bring about but you did it. This Christmas brought change for many of us...but our memories will be with us always.

Great post!!
