Thank you to those of you who have called me just make sure that I am safe n sound at home. your concern is greatly appreciated.
I will no longer be using the yahoo email account. I will send everyone my new e-mail address in the next few days it will be from GMail.
Again sorry guys & I hope this never happens to you.
love,
jad
P.S. although if you would like to send a few $$ to the jad fund ....LOL!!!

Subject: Emergency

I’m sending you this e-mail in a hurry because I only have 30 min, I traveled to Nigeria for a seminar and I got stranded after I forgot my little bag in the Taxi on my way to the Hotel I'm presently lodged, in the bag contain my money, passport, documents and other valuable things, I’m presently facing a hard time here because I have no money on me.

I’m owning a hotel bill of $1550 and they want me to pay the bill soon as possible. I need this help from you urgently, I need you to help me with the hotel bill and I will also need $1600 to feed and help me back home, I need the total of $3150. I will appreciate what so ever you can afford and I promise to pay back as soon as I return home.

I have contacted the Embassy, and they promised to give me traveling papers that I would need to have my way back home, all I need right now is the money to settle my bills and leave.

Please let me know if you can help me so I can send to you my details.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank You

JAD

I for one accept the apology of your family member for whom we are all supporting with fine things and thoughts. Us Nigerian ones are sensitive to the understanding of others. Therefore we explain by clarifying the situation of your kin from our nearest abadement to which we shall redeem your wishes. The clan person being spoken for is a distant one that you value high and will proceed with forwarding cash payment in return for the lost thingy to which you search. Our help is forthwith.

Ya-poo! Sounds more like it to me...

It happens to everyone sooner or later I spammed everyone on my instant message list last year. No clue why I clicked the link but I did and got burned for it for a little while.

Yahoo is my oldest email but I hardly use it (or check it) because they always do a poor job on the junk mail filtering...

Anyway don't feel bad - you have given us all a good reminder that we need to be very cautious online. Not putting our emails on the blog and make sure you see the little lock in the bottom of the browser before buying online are just two ways to avoid spam and theft.

Oh and now that we know what happen, can I have my $1500 back!!!!

We can't believe JAD fell for it...

The Mulli-people want answers!

Where was HD????

How could this happen???

Knowing how tech savy JAD is makes the people suspicious!!!!

I for one am not suspicious.

Do you know how many chain letters JAD is behind????

Could it just be karma????

I say we vote her out of the admin protectorate!!!!!

if she can't protect her own cyberhome, then how can she be trusted with the whole Mulli-Nation?????

Sorry GPE, it doesn't happen to everybody sooner or later! It seems to only happens to the Espo's sooner or later. At the Lutheran school that Billy attends they offer classes that will prevent you from becoming a victim of an internet scam, I suggest that you "GPE" may want to attend. By the way, Nick and Elizabeth are welcomed too.

I have resolved the problem with the yahoo scamming, I have complained to them filed an abuse report (although who are the yahoo people? and are they real people I can't believe they don't have a phone number,) I don't think they will do anything or that I'll even get a response. I am still switching my emails.

SWM did you take those classes??
