Red's Wine Review: A Tribute to the Obama inaugural!

Missing White Castle!
Recently I surfed through John's blogg onto the Heff blogg, as anyone who has visited Muggs' blogg knows the Heff is quite a character. But the other day he put up a post of his home made White Castle burgers... So, I just had to copy him...
But with a Kaleeforniaahhh twist!!!

The ingredients: notice the beef is 73% 27%... Definitely remember to take the Lipitor prior to this indulgence...

The CA twist, Beringer's SHIRAZ and KING's Hawiian savory butter rolls.
The Shiraz is actually a first for me, I have never tasted it before...

The Latka's oy vey! Or are they Knish's??
The steamed buns...
The Meat...
Final presentation with condiments and vino...
The happy mic!
After thought:
The Shiraz went quite well with the burgers, really it did!
The Shiraz is a very good wine, not too sweet, a little dry and very Cabernet-ish...
The latka's were pretty good too, especially when dipped into the ketchup/tabasco...
The burgers actually smelled and tasted just like the White Castle burgers I remember, greasy buns and all!
This meal was a wonderful treat after such a marvelous California day, you know bike riding on the beach, going to the park with Matt and soaking up that sunny and 75 degree warmth...
We hope all of you back east are enjoying similar warm days and nights...
PS: Be sure to check out the Greek and Mc bloggs for more great Matt shots!!!!

We bought a bottle of the Shiraz today, will open it soon & let you know what i think. I've had Shiraz before but not Beringer.

As for the sliders they look tasty & Chris you look like you enjoyed yourself cooking, eating & drinking.

Good post!!

Muggs-no slidin issues 2day at all... so far.

GPE- I do look a bit like Bobby Flay, and I know you know who he is...

JAD- I'm glad I tried the Shiraz but personally I prefer more sweetness. Although Beringer is a fine brand I am sure you will enjoy, cant wait for your reaction.
PS: hows that arctic breeze today?

Hey, I tried this Shiraz last night & found it to be a little more dry or maybe a bolder taste than I like. i will have to try their Cabernet to see what i think of that.
on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) I would rate it a 5.

I hear ya JAD!

Not sure if I'm gona try a Shiraz anytime soon.

I prefer my sweeter Pinot's and Merlot's...

Some how I don't think the bold taste or desire for a sweetness stopped either of the connoisseurs from knocking off the whole bottle!

well GPE have you at least tried the wine to add your 2cents, any way it may not be a wine i would buy again but I certainly will not let it go to waste. The bottle will be finished!!!
