The most appropriate place for Matthew's tree is right next ot his toys... besides, it's also the only open space left in our house...
Matthew's favorite game, remove and hide the Christmas ornaments... or just break them...

a charlie brown tree is the smallest skinniest, sickly looking tree. Matt's tree is short and round, more like Santa's belly
