Teddy's House

Little Billy and I meander our way to Oyster Bay one afternoon to visit the home of Theodore Roosevelt's on Sagamore Hill. Theodore was a hero of the Spanish-American War, Governor of the State of New York and the 26th President of the Unites States. He is also the youngest man to be President and is most responsible for the creation of the National Park Service. Two of Theodore's sons paid the ultimate price for their Country and died for this Nation, Quentin in WW One and Theodore Jr.in WW Two. www.whitehouse.gov/history/presidents/tr26.html

I have always love these historic markers that dot the New York State landscape. Theodore Roosevelt

I think billy grew a foot since I saw hime last. Yes joyce the teddy was name after him. Something about him not wanting to shoot a real bear on a hunting trip and the next thing you know that a teddy bears being name after him.

The slogan used by Maxwell House, "Good to the last drop" was said to be spoken by TR when he visited Andrew Jackson. Coffee trivia for the coffee drinkers.

TR also led and wrote a book about the rough riders, his calvary regiment during the spanish american war.

I must admit that it was Lauren who made the previous gpe comment and I was quite surprised she had TR snippet stored in her noggin, nice going..now use your own login next time or I'm taking credit!!

As usually Admin GPE is lax with State secrets and admits to sharing access and files with his better half, truly a Cardinal sin for this clan!

i did not USE my husband log in intentionally. I was responding to a phone call with Scott about Billy growing while tending to a 12year old who wam=nts to swim all day, a 6 year old who doesn't want to swim all day and a 3 year old with a severe case of strep throat!!! (and chores) I never thought that using my husband log in would create such problems since he was already logged in !!

Only a clan member with way too much time on his hands and numerous hidden agendas would have a problem with someone accidentally logging on under the wrong user account. As for an accidental login leading to the revealing of clan secrets or the manipulation of blog infrastructure it is highly unlikely since LCD's technical acuity is on par with that of the redmin and not exactly tech savvy. So please go back to your chalk board and conjure up another blogoversy red fudge...
