Bronx River Parkway Stroll - 5/18/08

Gwyn and I took a stroll on the Bronx River Parkway today....From May to September, Westchester County closes the Parkway almost every Sunday - 10 AM to 2PM.

Hope everybody has a great Sunday!

Glad to see they still close the Bronx River Parkway on Sundays. Once a year the Port Authority closes one of the Lincoln Tunnel Tubes to run a 5k marathon. Mark and I ran the 5k once. For the record I beat Mark, not by much. I told him before the race to pace himself. 5k equals 3 and half miles and our times were over thirty minutes, not very good, but we had fun.

Its closed to the County Center in White Plains.....

Walking is the new thing ...this is the first year they have allowed it...used to be - bike or roller blades only...
