2020 Hind sight

It's been way over due for me to write a little something on our Blog. Not sure if anyone will read my words but that's ok, I will write anyway.

The year 2020 for me stared out with such great joy. Andrea gave birth to her second child, our 2nd grandchild, Allassandra Catherine (Allie) on 2/28/2020. A healthy  beautiful baby girl sister to Giuliana. My mom had just returned to Florida with Kathy and Carlos just until May so she could check on her apartment etc and get out of New York for the winter.  All seemed to be going along pretty well and then by March 17th 2020, we were all in Lockdown. The thing called the Corona Virus has invaded our our lives are daily way of getting things done. A Pandemic! Stores were running out of all things toilet paper. Sarah was not allowed to work, along with many millions of Americans. WE had to stay home, shelter in place, blah blah blah. Churches were closed, Schools are closed and then they are remote learning,  restaurants closed to in dining  but you can order and have it delivered, Doctor visit were via facetime.  Andrea and her babies came to stay with us,( April1 through September 15th) She was still adjusting to having a new baby and recovering from her C-Section, her husband thought it was for the best and their safety to be with us.  It was hectic at first but now when I look back, it was the best 6 months we had during a pandemic! Slowly things stated to get some what better, Sarah's job was opened at 25% and she returned to work in mid June. Mom though remained in Florida, and was so afraid to leave her home for fear of getting sick. We have never gone this long without seeing her.  By summer, things are not normal but are getting some what better. Although.  now we are wearing face coverings and social distancing, handwashing galore!

Then in August we were hit was devastating news, Kathy's daughter Lauren Ashley was taken from us. She was a beautiful girl inside and out, very sweet had so much going for her, so we thought. I wish we could see what is on the inside of a person because then maybe we could help with the pain they carry that is hidden.  It was a shock and a blow to our family and I'm not sure how we go on but we do.

Halloween was cancelled, then Thanksgiving came and we got together only allowed 10 guests...

Then it's Christmas and we can attend Mass and there is the talk of vaccines in the media, Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Well for the Esposito Family NO because before the year 2020 departs, we are hit with another blow, another loss. This time David's son David. A handsome young man who just finding his way in life. Unfortunately he made a fatal choice that took his life.

So Good-Bye Good Reddens to the year 2020!

Now it's April 2021, so far it's Okay. Jesus says "Let not your hearts be troubled" for today I place my trust in Him and pray for all of us in the Mulligan Clan to Be well, Be safe and Healthy!
