Old Picture(s) of the Day - 3/6/08
Colorado - 1976 Bonus Image - My 6th Bithday Party?
Looking at that second pic for a second time i'm going to guess the dog Matt is holding is Dusty as a pup. It could be Pepper but I never met Pepper. So I will stick with Dusty. The time frame is right for Dusty. Dusty was about three when we moved out there in 1979. The dog Kathyann is holding I can't remember her name, but I do remember her. She had pups when we moved out there. She died shortly after we moved there. I can't remember how she died. I do know we had no part in her death. There was a male dog that jump over the fence with his chain still on and hung himself. I can't remember his name either, I think it began with a B, maybe it was Bozo, or maybe they called him Bozo after he killed himself. Phil, I believe found him. There was also Acer who I believe was the only pup from one of Dusty's litter to live so Matt kept her ( I think Acer was a Female). Funny story about Acer is that she ate stuff that she should not have eaten. Needless to say, she huddled in a corner for hours.
Correction Red that would be a Coors..when in Rome u know..
I beleive your are correct on the dos... that pepper had a nasty growl...I remember certain cousins holding his collar and saying ''go get em, gp get emmm"..and pepper would almost froth at the mouth! And poor Matt would cry!!
i don't think that dog's name is Dolly?? the one dog is pepper & i don't remember who the dog is Matt has. anyway enough about dogs, john these a great pics. keep em coming
Wow, so i come onto the family blog to see a bunch of really nice pictures and i came to find a little more information about them seeing that i wasn't alive at the time and all the information i have gathered.. is about the three dogs in the picture and i can give you all of the names but, i might get into detail seeing that there is so much!!!Nothing is said about the background of them or who is in the pictures! Thanks scott you were the biggest help of them all.. After reading your comment i got a feeling looking at the picture again as if it could almost tell me a story just from what you wrote.. Hahahahaha i'm just kidding. Totally being sarcastic but, nice post mulligans! :)

I guess your family drove in the Buick, John. I always like the Buick and I also liked Aunt Anne and Uncle Junior's Oldsmobile Vista cruiser station wagon. It had the glass roof in the second row.
I've been thinking about it & i don't think the year is1976 because we also went to CO in 1976 & Grandma was with us. She would not have made that trip twice.
The idea of a family blog was born at our gathering for Mark on Friday March 23, 2007. This is a great way to communicate over many miles and time zones.
We look forward to everyones contributions - thoughts, comments, debate, pictures or whatever you like!

You the man, John. Your just pulling photos out of thin air. I never even knew your family visited Colorado. Keep up the good work.

Hold on. There a third dog in that photo. That dog is probably Pepper. I defer to the Esposito's or Callaghan's to the name of that dog.
...the horror
I think the dog Kathyann is holding was called Molly! Anyway, I spent too much time on this issue.
How about a Callaghan shed some light...
John, did allergies develop after this trip???
Big UJohn looks great in that pic, looks lke he's about to go get a Schaefer or a Schlitz!!
the allergies were a issue...

The dog name is Dolly! I knew it would come to me. I was getting scared. I thought I might have to break into the ruinations to figure it out.
PS--Like I said earlier I never met Pepper but heard the stories from the younger Espo boys.
I don't mean to be anal, but is John wearing Pro Keds sneakers on the front porch?

We drove ...With Grandma Mulligan

Buick Electra
was it 1076???
it is so nice to know that grandma traveled with all of us(families) at one time or another.
Scott that vista cruiser was not hat great when you were the one who had to sit in the way back. trust me!!
I'm thinking, uncle john most likely bought his car from my dad's dealership.
