Life in the Bay Area

Here's my town, Pacifica. This is Linda Mar beach on Hwy 1 in the picture. I took this on my way home from work Monday. This is a small coastal town 25 miles south of San Francisco, approximately 40,000 residents. We love it. We are not too far from the city but far enough to get that small town feel. And, there are surfers galore here...nice perk for the ladies :)

Another beach near in town, Rockaway Beach. There's a nice hotel and a great place to get the best fresh crab sandwich that I've ever tasted.

Monday night, we went to the Giants vs. Mets game at AT&T ball park in SF. I figured with all this baseball talk on the blog that I would add these pics. The ball park just purchased this 5 million dollar scoreboard that is just amazing. I couldn't help adding a picture of Bonds, like him or not he's gonna break Hank Aaron's record very soon.

Lastly, here are pictures of our new house (3bdrm/1bath), awesome new kitchen and freshly cut backyard lawn (thanks to my proud honey, Chris). Come visit us anytime. We have the room!!!!

Kim,
I am impressed!
The beach area of your town looks like a resort, very beautiful. I can see why you like it sooo much. your new home is very nice too. I love the kitchen and i love your weeping willow tree. We had one of those at 32 Scott Dr. I always liked that kind of tree don't know why but i do. Enjoy your new home & I wish you & Chris many happy years thee!

Carlos is a big Met fan. he'll like those baseball pics.

Great post, Kim

Maybe I can try one of those crab sandwiches in August, Mmmmmm!!

Cali beaches really do put Fla beaches to shame (but the warm water is nice).... looks like a very nice place to live... Are you still right across from the ocean?

Kim,

Great stuff!!!

Really enjoyed the pics!!!

California is just such a great place to live in... Can you imagine, in this day and age, that there are people in this world that are soo narrow minded that they are willing to live there whole lives without ever seeing all that this wonderful land has to offer... hmmm...

I just dont understand people...

"Kaleeforniaahhh in ohhh ate!!!"

Yes, that's Mr. Comstock in the front of the house. He is about to take down the for sale post in the picture. That was a great moment!!!

Our rental was across the street from the ocean, the crashing waves could be heard from our bedroom and you could see whales migrating passed our house from the driveway. It was great. Our new house is 1/2 miles from the beach the cars have replaced the waves. We've gotten used to it and I am not complaining at all. We own a house in CA and love it. What more could we ask for :)

I wanted to add pictures to my orignal post but it doesn't appear to be any options for that. Gary? I took pictures this weekend of horses for Sarah. :)

This upcoming weekend, we are heading up to Sonoma for a Barrel tasting event at one of our favorite wineries, Cline. I might get a little crazy on this blog with sharing our Life in the Bay Area events. Hope this helps all of you come visit one day. :)

Kim,
i had the same problem I guess once you do the a post I didn't know how to add on to it. Oh well.

i think it is safe to say we enjoy all the pic & comments , that is what this blog is all bout. I'll be checking for those horse pics to show Sarah.
every Monday Sarah has her riding lessons & today she started on a new horse, Pablo, He is a thoroughbred. He is quite tall compared to the pony she used to ride her name is Opal. she did well on him.

We like wineries too!

Keep the photos coming.

Kim, you can edit an existing post if you see the little pencil down by the comments. But its best to just do a new post and then we lump them all together with "labels" for archiving...

Keep pics and post coming!
