Summer 2009 - Cooperstown, NY

As part of the Espos South NY tour we visited Cooperstown, NY home of the NBHOF. It was my first trip to the area and I was really surprised by how beautiful that part of NY is and how much there is to see in and outside of the HOF.

The Original 5 inductees..

Passing along Yankee history...

A tribute to baseball fans who displayed pretty insane dedication..attending every home game, visiting every park etc...

Who says Pete Rose isn't in the hall? They can keep him out of the gallery (official inductees) but he's all over the hall..
Ok so not everybody is a bball fan!

Shark Valley - Everglades Natl Park

On Sat the adventurous parts of the So Fla clan finally made a much overdo trek to Shark Valley located in the northern part of Everglades National Park. If you have taken one of the Everglades air boat tours and left feeling short changed on the number of gators you saw, this maybe the place for you!

Its also got lots of tropical plan life..

And some beautiful birds...

But its the gators that leave you in awe~

in the water..

on the land..

Yikes, blocking the trail your walking down!!

and lurking everywhere in between!

It was a fun time for all.
The kids did a great job walking, listening and enjoying nature.

Thanks for heading up the adventure SWM!

Spring Break 08

The So Fla crew headed out to the Miami Seaquarium for some aquatic fun last week.

In twenty (yes 20!) years in Florida this was my first trip to seaworld jr and it was quite fun. The tv show Flipper was shot here and if I heard correctly at least one of the original dolphins is still performing in the show. The whale's name is "Lolita". If you make a South Florida trek be sure add the seaquarium to your places to visit list...
